গর্ত থেকে গলা বের করছে গণঅভ্যুত্থানের মুখে ক্ষমতাচ্যুত আওয়ামী লীগ। দলটির প্রধান ও ফ্যাসিস্ট সরকারের প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা পালিয়ে যাওয়ার ৬ মাসের মাথায় আত্মগোপনে থাকা অবস্থায় থেকে প্রথম রাজনৈতির কর্মসূচি ঘোষণা করেছে তারা। হরতাল-অবরোধসহ চলতি ফেব্রুয়ারিজুড়ে রাজনৈতিক কর্মসূচি নিয়ে মাঠে থাকার ঘোষণা দিয়েছে গত সাড়ে ১৫ বছর ধরে দেশ শাসনের নামে গুম-খুন-অত্যাচার-নির্যাতন ও লুটপাটে লিপ্ত দলটি। জনগণের ‘সমর্থন’ পেতে পেশাজীবী, সরকারি কর্মচারী, সমর্থকসহ দলের অপেক্ষাকৃত কম দোষী টাইপের লোকদের সামনে রেখে লিফলেট বিতরণ করছে। সরকারের তরফ থেকেও আওয়ামী লীগের কর্মসূচি দমনের হুঁশিয়ারি দেওয়া হয়েছে। বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনসহ বেশকিছু রাজনৈতিক সংগঠন আওয়ামী লীগকে প্রতিহত করার কথা বলেছে। এদিকে আওয়ামী লীগের কর্মসূচিকে প্রতিহত করার ঘোষণা না দিলেও বিএনপিও ভোটের দাবিতে চলতি মাসে আন্দোলনের কর্মসূচি পালনের ডাক দিয়েছে।
ছাত্র-জনতার গণঅভ্যুত্থানের মুখে গত ৫ আগস্ট পতিত সরকারের প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও আওয়ামী লীগ সভাপতি শেখ হাসিনা দেশ ছেড়ে ভারতে পালিয়ে যাওয়ার পর দলের সব নেতাকর্মী আত্মগোপনে চলে যায়। পরে দলের বেশ কয়েকজন নেতাও পালিয়ে ভারতসহ বিভিন্ন দেশে গিয়ে অবস্থান করছেন। বেশ কয়েকজন নেতা ইতোমধ্যে আইনশৃঙ্খলা বাহিনীর হাতে গ্রেপ্তার হয়েছেন। বাকিরা এখনো আত্মগোপনে রয়েছেন। ৫ আগস্ট শেখ হাসিনা সরকার পতনের পর সাংগঠনিকভাবে রীতিমতো বিপর্যস্ত আওয়ামী লীগ রাজনৈতিক কর্মসূচি দিয়ে আবারও ঘুরে দাঁড়ানোর চেষ্টা করছে।
