টিভিতে লাইভ চলাকালে জাতীয় নাগরিক পার্টির শীর্ষনেতা হাসনাত আব্দুল্লাহ এবং সারজিস আলমকে শুয়োর বলে চাকরী হারিয়েছেন এখন টিভির নিউজরুম এডিটর ও টেলিভিশন উপস্থাপিকা জেনিসিয়া বর্ণা।
বৃহস্পতিবার মাগুরায় শিশু আছিয়ার জানাজার সময় অন্যান্য টিভির মতো ঘটনাটি লাইভ দেখাচ্ছিলো বেসরকারী টেলিভিশন চ্যানেল ‘এখন টিভি’। অনুষ্ঠানটি সম্প্রচারে থাকা অবস্থাতেই কারিগরি ত্রুটির কারণে জেনসিয়া ও তার সহকর্মীদের নিজেদের ভেতর চলতে থাকা আলাপ বাইরে চলে আসে। যেখানে নিউজরুম থেকে একজন জিজ্ঞেস করছিলেন, সারজিস মাগুরায় গিয়েছেন কি না। তার প্রতিউত্তরে এখন টিভির উপস্থাপিকা বর্ণা আনকোট অবস্থায় বলেন, এই শুয়োর গুলো গেলেই কি আর না গেলেই কি।
মুহুর্তের মধ্যে টিভি ফুটেজটি ভাইরাল হয়ে গেলে ব্যাপক সমালোচনার সৃষ্টি হয়। পরে ৩০ মিনিটের মধ্যেই এখন টিভির সিইও তুষার আব্দুল্লাহ উপস্থাপিকা জেনিসিয়া বর্ণাসহ তিনজনকে চাকরিচ্যুত করেন।
পরে অবশ্য এক ফেসবুক স্টাটাসে হাসনাত আবদুল্লাহ সবার চাকরি ফেরতের আবেদন জানিয়েছেন।
এ ঘটনায় আগ্রহের কেন্দ্রবিন্দু হয়ে উঠেছেন জেনসিয়া। নেটিজেনদের কেউকেউ তার প্রশংসা করছেন কেউবা করছেন সমালোচনা। কেউকেউ তাকে বলিউড অভিনেত্রী রাকুল প্রিতের সাথেও তুলনা করছেন। কিন্তু জেনসিয়ার পরিচয় কি? জানা যায়, জেনসিয়া বেসরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে নর্থ সাউথের বাণিজ্য অনুষদের বিবিএর শিক্ষার্থী। বয়স ২১ বা তার কিছু কম। ছোটোবেলা থেলেই মিডিয়ার প্রতি প্রচন্ড আগ্রহ থেকেই তিনি এখন টিভিতে কাজ করছেন। এখন টিভির ন্যাশনাল ডেস্কে ব্রোডকাস্ট জানালিস্ট হিসেবে কাজ করার পাশাপাশি নিয়মিত উপস্থাপনাও করেন জেসিয়া।

জনাব মাহফুজ স্যারকে বোতল নিক্ষেপের পর তিনি দাবি করলেন—ওরা শিবির!
